Setting NVH in Motion with

VIBES.experience

27-28 May, 2025 | Munich, Germany

VIBES.experience: Together in Innovation

VIBES.experience is a two-day conference dedicated to exploring the latest trends and strategies in noise and vibration engineering. This year’s focus centres around  hybrid modular modelling —pushing boundaries in NVH product development.

Join industry thought leaders, for insightful presentations of peers, engage in interactive sessions, and connect through a networking dinner. Next to the interactive sessions you will have the opportunity to discover VIBES’ latest product advancements first-hand. Whether you’re here to learn, get inspired, or connect with like-minded peers, VIBES.experience has everything you need to drive in NVH engineering.

Assemble and optimize the product, before the physical prototyping

With automotive development rapidly evolving through virtualization and fewer development cycles, new NVH strategies are essential to keep reaching the required NVH performance.

Hybrid modular modelling allows engineers to assemble, predict, and optimize products, using the most effective modelling strategy for the components. Test-based models and simulations may be combined flexibly to optimize the NVH performance of an assembly.

Topics that will be covered:

  • Test-based and numerical component modelling strategies
  • Source characterisation with e.g. blocked forces
  • Component TPA & Complex power analysis
  • Frequency-based substructuring.

Keynote

Laurent Gagliardini

Laurent Gagliardini started his career in 1983 at CSTB (in Grenoble), the main building acoustic in France.

He worked on airborne and structure-borne sound propagation in building structures. He contributed to many research projects on these topics as well as to the ISO working group on structure-borne sources (where he met Pr Verheij).

Then, in 1997 (after 14 years in CSTB), he moved to Peugeot (now Stellantis) where he became an NVH expert and dealt with topics on both the simulation side and the experimental side. From the beginning of the 2000’s, he constantly worked with Dynamic Sub-structuring as part of an engineering process; from the design phase (numerical simulation) to the integration phase (experimental assessment). During his whole career, he has been investigating uncertainties effects, leading way to the Non-Parametric Variability Method (NPVM).

From 2023 (after 26 years in PSA), he started new activities in the field of 3D audio.
