Meet Ekin Erdem Evliya, our new Senior Software Developer

Another new team member has joined the VIBES crew! Meet Ekin Erdem Evliya, joining our SOURCE team as Senior Software Developer. Get to know him a bit better by reading his introduction below.

Hey, I’m Ekin and I’m from Turkey. I recently joined the team here at VIBES and moved to the Netherlands. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, singing in choirs, playing video games, and reading.

I hold both a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), where I specialized in Structural Engineering and Structural Dynamics. My career began as a research assistant at METU during my master’s studies, after which I worked in several structural and hydromechanical design offices. After some time as a Senior Project Engineer in both the design office and on-site, I shifted careers into software development—turning a long-time hobby into a profession. Over the past few years, I’ve been developing structural design software, bridging the gap between engineering needs and digital tools.

At VIBES, I’m part of the software development team, mainly working on Source. I bring my background in structural dynamics and engineering software to contribute to tools that support vibration analysis and mechanical system simulations. I’m excited to be part of a multidisciplinary environment and to keep growing at the intersection of engineering and technology.
