VIBES.Technology goes French
25 October 2018
On 17 and 18 October the 10th edition of the “SIA-CTTM Automotive NVH Comfort” took place in Le Mans. Le Mans and this conference are important for NVH in the French automotive industry, including OEMs and suppliers, such as PSA Peugeot Citroën, Daimler and Renault. On behalf of VIBES.technology, Daniël van den Bosch was asked to speak at this conference, as one of the VIBES’ experts on source characterisation.
Through this first-time visit, VIBES had a nice opportunity to familiarze itself with the French automotive industry and their vision on NVH now and in the future. VIBES got also the chance to demonstrate its expertise and skills.
During the conference, Daniël presented his work entitled “A comparison of two source characterisation techniques proposed for standardisation,” where he provided insights in the theoretical and practical differences between two standards proposed for source characterisation in the automotive industry. In conclusion it was shown that both methods, although theoretically choosing a different approach, contain some very useful practical guidelines for source characterisation which can contribute to an improved synthesis of NVH levels.
The presentation was well received by the audience, positioning VIBES as a key partner for thought leadership in the market and contributing to a lot of interesting news in France.
Furthermore, this conference was a good opportunity to interact with the French colleagues of Müller-BBM VibroAkustik Systeme. VIBES and Müller-BBM VAS work together as partners in enabling clients to work with innovative test-based techniques. It was valuable to meet again in Le Mans and to discuss opportunities in the French automotive market.
Altogether it was a very successful visit to this conference and a substantial step to VIBES’ introduction into the French market!
