Meet our new Software Engineer: Constantinos Kyprianou
04 December 2020
In November 2020, Constantinos joined our team as a Software Engineer R&D. Below he provides some information about himself and his journey towards VIBES.
About me
My name is Constantinos Kyprianou, I’m 29 years old, and I come from the Republic of Cyprus, but I currently live in the Netherlands. I like to spend my spare time hanging out with friends, and playing computer games, or sometimes keep myself busy with random (usually technical) activities.
My education
I obtained a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus, since it was a subject I was very interested in, since my school days. I have been a gamer for most of my life, and I realised that I had the chance to get to know my hobby well. Therefore, I moved to the Netherlands, for my MSc, to study Game and Media Technology at Utrecht University.
My journey towards VIBES
Right after my studies, I started working at VSTEP Simulation as a Software Engineer, making 3D training software. It was a great start to my career, being directly relevant to my field of study.
After a couple of years, circumstances brought me to seek some additional flavour in my career. After coming in contact with the two Maartens at VIBES, I was later given the opportunity to meet the rest of the team. Right there I knew that this is where I wanted to be next, both from a professional, and a social perspective. And so it came to be, I started working at VIBES as a Software Engineer R&D, with current main focus on SOURCE, our software for accurate characterization of active sources. I will do my best to offer great value with my skills, and learn a lot in the process.
